Norman L. Thompson
BRIGHAM CITY – Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, 83, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the Brigham City Community Hospital.
He was born on March 22, 1935 in Ogden, Utah, a son of Lee Thompson and Ethel Cobabe. Norman was sealed to his father and step mother, Emily Dabb Thompson in the Logan Temple.
He was reared and educated in Ogden, graduating from Weber High School in 1954.
Norman meet his sweetheart, Barbara Ann Graham and they were married in Ogden, Utah on October 1, 1955 and later their marriage was solemnized in the Logan Temple on June 8, 1962.
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held various callings. He enjoyed being a patron of the Brigham City Temple.
Norman owned and operated Norman Thompson Construction Company.
He loved going on long rides with Barbara, always looking for Gold mines and was a very generous and kind helping anyone.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara of Brigham City; four children: Kent (April) Thompson, Salt Lake City; Neil (Judy) Thompson, Howell; Douglas (Julie) Thompson, Brigham City; Shannon (Michael) Draper, Brigham City; 26 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Tamara and four grandchildren, Jennifer, Mark, Matt and Justin.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Brigham City 6th Ward Chapel, 105 W Fishburn Drive.
A viewing will be held on Thursday at the church from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
