Robert Morris Haynie, 89, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on October 19, 1929 in Manassa, Colorado, a son of Anthon Vivian and Bernice Decker Haynie.
He graduated from Logan High School in 1947 and Utah State University in 1960.
Bob served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He married Shirley Walker on July 16, 1964 in the Logan Temple.
Bob owned and operated Precision Parts (NAPA Auto Parts).
Bob was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, served in the England Liverpool Mission and served missions with Shirley in the Pennsylvania Pittsburgh and the Utah Ogden Missions.
He was a Brigham City Volunteer Fireman for over 25 years and served as Chairman of the Brigham City Traffic Committee.
Bob loved his grandchildren and his family.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley; six children: Robert Jr (Marsha) Haynie; Rebecca Haynie; Mark (Teresa) Haynie; Susan (Todd) Huckaby; Paul (Natalie) Haynie; Catherine (Jared) Youngkeit; 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Also surviving are three siblings, Lloyd Haynie, Ann Barton, and Linda Huntington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Anthon V. Haynie Jr, and four great grandchildren.
Robert wishes: He did not want a public viewing and in lieu of flowers do something nice and pay it forward.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Brigham City 14th Ward Chapel, 650 Anderson Drive.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
