Aunt Pat was a joy and always an interesting and kind woman. She was loving and supportive to me, and I respected her (and Uncle Keith) in every way. What a great family you have! My only regret was that we lived far enough apart that I didn't see all of you much as we grew older. My love and deepest sympathies to you at this time of loss. I know it was a wonderful reunion for her to join Uncle Keith and many of the rest of the family on the other side.

Just a week before her passing I mentioned to Sister Frandsen that I really wanted to visit with Sister Davies. Unfortunately, I did not follow up on that prompting, which is another lesson for me. Sister Davies was always kind and uplifting to me. I'm sure she didn't realize how much I appreciated her ever happy countenance and positive comments in every conversation. Whenever I attended their ward they both spoke words of encouragement and reassurance. (President Davies was completely present with me when we talked.) Her loyalty to and love for President Davies was an inspiration to many. The last time we talked she said she was just patiently waiting for the grand reunion that she knew would take place at the veil. When I learned of her passing that reunion played through my mind. There were lots of smiles, and hugs, and happy sounds. It was so real to me. President Davies was smiling from ear-to-ear and he was reaching for a hug. It was just a glimpse, but it was a powerful witness that I will never forget. Now, we all have even more motivation to achieve and maintain gospel standards, so we can live forever as families, which is "[their] work and [their] glory to --- bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." (Moses 1:39) It reaffirms to me the comfort given by the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ who is our Savior and Redeemer. He is the Living Son of the Living God. They have a love for us that the finite mind cannot comprehend. I pray that you will feel the sustaining influence of the Spirit in the coming days and throughout your lives. "May peace be with you this day, and always."
