Donald L. Davis a resident of Brigham City for 45 years, died Friday, April 20, 2018, from cancer. The son of John W. and Myrtle M. Davis. He is survived by his wife, Kathy, of 58 years; children, Dennis Davis, Dan Davis, Gerry (Doug) Beesley, Don Davis, Mark (Meredith) Davis and Minh (My) Phan; 16 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; one sister and niece. His parents, 3 siblings and one great grandson preceded him in death.\n \nHe served in the U.S. Navy for 5 years and received a medical retirement; worked for North American / Rockwell, Fullerton, CA, as an electronics technician; on coming to UT he managed an Arctic Circle fast food in Brigham City 11 years, and lastly with ATK (Thiokol) hired as an electronics technician and later as a janitor until retirement. \n \nDon loved coaching his sons 2 years in Little League baseball, 11 years in Little League football going to regional playoffs every year and taking state championship 1 year. He loved hunting both deer and birds but his greatest pleasure was fishing in MT with his best friend, Gary Petit. He and his wife loved traveling (driving) across the U.S. several times visiting family, relatives and many interesting places.\n \nA rosary will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at 6pm at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City. A viewing will follow at 7-8pm. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at St. Henry's Catholic Church, 380 South 200 East. In place of flowers we would appreciate donations be made to St. Henry's Catholic Church building fund.
