IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO – Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Bonnie Ann Young, 77, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at her home in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

She was born on October 18, 1940 in Osmond, Wyoming, a daughter of Neil Cassity and Ruth Jensen, her mother married Edgar Arthur (Jerry) Reed who raised her as his daughter.

Bonnie graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1958.

Bonnie married Larry Thornock in the Logan Temple. They were later divorced. She married Alfred Kent Sweeney and later divorced. She married Ken Young and they were later divorced.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving in various callings. She had served as a service missionary.

Bonnie enjoyed reading, nutrition and loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are four children: Michael (Anita) Thornock of Brigham City; Shane (Michelle) Thornock of Wells, Nevada; Shelley Thornock of Brigham City; Melissa Back of Lanexa, Virginia; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Lael Reed, Jerry Layne Reed, and Kim Reed.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham City 16th Ward Chapel, 145 West 500 South.

A viewing will be held at the church on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Interment will be in the Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, Ogden, Utah.
